NFL#13 - Week Thirteen Picks
Current Standings
BabySteps 115 (tied for 2nd overall, 3 points behind the leader)
Picklez 112
LG 112
What can I say? STL over CHI was a poor choice. ATL is officially out to screw me. CLE sucked. Big time. GB, whiskey tango foxtrot? I'm not surprised that NYJ beat TEN. I just wish it hadn't cost me a damn point. You know, 9 out of 14 isn't bad. If I were betting on all the games, I would still be profiting. Unfortunately, BabySteps is now 3 points ahead of me and it might as well be 3000. Ugh.
Week Thirteen Picks
Nothing is getting easier. I think there are only 2 "no brainers" in the whole damn bunch this week.
TEN @ DET - Umm... I think it's easy to pick the winner here, but TEN needs to be careful because DET is angry. They are playing at home on Thanksgiving and they might just take all the personal fouls and try to injure people so that TEN gets screwed in the playoffs. Picklez Pick: TEN Bonus prediction: A TEN starter will be injured for the rest of the regular season due to a DET personal foul.
SEA @ DAL - The "Suckhawks" will be shot down by the Cowpokes. Picklez Pick: DAL
ARI @ PHI - In the battle of the birds, the ginger one will win. I think it is also safe to say that Donovan McNabb's career with PHI is over. He's starting this Thursday, but how can he put his heart into winning? Picklez Pick: ARI Bonus Prediction: McNabb will get injured and Cobb will have to come back into the game. LOL
SF @ BUF - My original statement was wrong. There is a third "no brainer". Picklez Pick: BUF
BAL @ CIN - My previous statement was also wrong. There is a fourth "no brainer". Picklez Pick: BAL
IND @ CLE - You could say that my previous statement was wrong again. There is a fifth "no brainer". I'm not going to say that because CLE is cagey and unpredictable. The power of Manning! can also be fickle. As much I hate it, I'll bank on Manning! though. Picklez Pick: IND Bonus Prediction: CLE have an early lead and will come close to winning the game, but then lose due to poor play calling or clock management.
CAR @ GB - Now we're getting a little more difficult. GB took a thrashing last week. 51 to 29. CAR didn't fare too well either. GB plays well at home, but I just don't know. I will let this quarter decide. Heads GB, Tails CAR. Picklez Pick: CAR
MIA @ STL - The statement I made earlier about a fifth "no brainer" might also be subject to examiniation. For some reason STL is favored. Why. Suck Louis has shown no signs of life lately. MIA fought hard against NE last week. Picklez Pick: MIA
NO @ TB - I really have no idea. NO is inconsistent. TB has been playing well lately. Picklez Pick: TB
NYG @ WAS - Another tough game to call. We have division rivals going at it in this one. WAS is a solid team. Solid enough to beat NYG? ARI had a chance, but I just don't know. Here's my "upset of the week". Picklez Pick: WAS
ATL @ SD - How many times have we seen this? I pick ATL to win and they lose? I pick them to lose, then they win. I'm going to stupidly pick them to win against Suck Diego. On paper, they are a much better team, but can they adjust to the West Coast time difference? Will they get too cocky with their win over CAR? Picklez Pick (apprehensively): ATL
KC @ OAK - Kansas Shitty v. Suckland. Mr. Quarter it's all up to you. Heads is OAK, Tails is KC. Picklez's Quarter Pick: OAK
PIT @ NE - Oof. My head says NE, but my heart says PIT. That's not right. My hypothalmus gland says NE and my right kidney says PIT. At this point in the season, with BabySteps so far ahead of me, what does it really matter? Picklez Pick: PIT
DEN @ NYJ - DEN sucks but in the AFC-W they are the Kings of Suck. NYJ defeated the precursors to the Greek Gods but will their heads swell and make them to cocky? Picklez Pick: NYJ
CHI @ MIN - This is probably the biggest game all week. The two teams are tied for 1st in the NFC-N. Both teams are inconsistent. CHI has no offense and MIN has no defense. Mr. Quarter, I leave it to you. Heads MIN, Tails CHI. Picklez's Quarter Pick: CHI
JAC @ HOU - This game decides who is last in the AFC-S. HOU had a morale building win against CLE. JAC faced a cross-conference loss against MIN bringing them a 2 game losing streak. HOU nearly beat JAC earlier in the season though. I hate to do this, but Mr. Quarter? Heads is HOU, Tails is JAC. Mr. Quarter's Pick: HOU
J-E-T-S! JETS, JETS, JETS!
